How could one go wrong? The blend of these ingredients help finesse the mind, body, and nervous system into more health. It settles and stabilizes the nerves to help calm and reduce stress we may have encountered during the day.
Almond milk, coconut milk, and others can be used as substitutes. Nothing compares to cow's milk, however, it's OKAY. We use what's best for us and continue along the way.
Each of the spices used, have a medicinal effect. This Golden milk is both anti-inflammatory and has antioxidant properties.
Recipe for Golden Milk
1 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cardamon
(Add all if you prefer)
A dash of maple syrup or honey is a great sweetener for this delectable drink. One cinnamon stick and cardamon pods can be used instead of the powdered ingredients.
